I personally have no opinion on baby einstein, I am neither for them or against them, I never played them for my children. I chose to teach them things myself and interact with them, this is far better than sitting in front of a TV all day, like everyone else has said too. I would not put a TV in my child's room. I find it odd that your sister has such a strong opinion on them, does she usually try to control you in other ways? maybe she is a little jealous that you have a baby and she doesn't? either way, tell her firmly to drop the obsessing over the videos and that you will decide how much TV is appropriate for your child. I would personally give the videos back to your cousin, so they can't keep complaining that you're wasting them. I would be annoyed too. We did it with our last. (born 8 months ago) We lost our first; she had leukemia and just before she was to begin pre-transplant radiation and chemo she developed a fungal infection and never made it to transplant. (her birthday, by the way, was May 18.) I wish no child had to go through these illnesses and treatments, but as long as they do I wish there was more public awareness of how people can help. I love it and I always have it on.. but one suggestion I have is that you leave it empty. Let her choose the pictures of the baby that she would like to put in it.. otherwise she may feel uncomfortable if she wants to use a different picture. Everything can be ordered and picked up/delivered I suppose while you are still in hospital, if there is a change needed shops should be able to easily change any colours of products. They all have a birthday party every year which I'm invited to (I don't have any children) and I've drifted away from the group so most of the kids don't even know who I am. I have decided to boycott children's birthday parties until I start seeing some return on my Fisher Price investment. Good luck with your film. I know what you mean.
