Baby DVD Reviews – South Park (DVD) Review

Baby DVD Reviews - Premiering in the late summer of 1997, South Park took American pop culture by storm with its no-holds-barred examination of social and political issues and its lewd yet unique brand of cartoon humor. Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, South Park is the lynchpin of cable network Comedy Central's original programming lineup. Centered around the lives of several kids in the small Colorado town of South Park (a place prone to odd and paranormal occurrences), the series presents itself in the form of crude animated drawings, yet the concept works, playing home to innumerable well-written shows filled with boundless wit, well-timed one-liners, and an endless array of politically-incorrect humor. Love it or hate it, South Park is a truly original animated series with relentlessly off-the-wall plot twists and comic relief. If you love oddball humor, then this is the show for you...
South Park mostly follows the exploits of four elementary school kids - Cartman (who's overweight and sarcastic), Kyle (who dreams of eliminating his little brother Ike), Stan (who throws up at the sight of a girl he likes), and Kenny (who manages to get killed in every episode). All four attend South Park Elementary School where third grade teacher Mr. Garrison educates them with the use of a hand-puppet named "Mr. Hat" and cafeteria employee "Chef" McElroy (Isaac Hayes) dispenses his advice while periodically breaking into 70's love songs about making love to women. South Park is the setting for numerous oddities such as alien visitors, a monster with a hand of celery and the leg of Patrick Duffy, and Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride. South Park also hosts a number famous people from time to time, such as the Devil, Saddam Hussein, the Antichrist, Kathy Lee Gifford, Scott Baio, Tina Yothers, Elton John, and Jesus Christ - who has his own cable access show.
The South Park DVD features a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe" in which Kyle tries to rid himself of his baby brother Ike by playing a game of "kick the baby" at the bus stop. Meanwhile, Cartman reveals to his friends that he had a nightmare in which he was abducted by aliens, leading Stan, Kyle, and Chef to the conclusion that aliens inserted an anal probe in Cartman. As cows are mutilated in South Park, Cartman continues to live in denial of the alien machine residing in his anus... Other notable episodes from Season 1 include "An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig" in which Kyle's science project to cross-breed an elephant with a pig is made possible when Chef and Elton John create the necessary atmosphere for proper loving-making, and "Pink Eye" in which Kenny dies early in the episode but is turned into a zombie by accident...

You can look up single words that you'll use with your baby: milk, eat, more, play, happy, nap etc
The best way to teach is a sign or two at a time, and be consistent. Everytime you're about to offer food, do the sign for eat. Later on, when he/she understands it, you can ask "eat?" Before long, he/she will sign back! Incorporate the signs into everyday life.

Always use a towel that you don’t mind getting dirty but is still soft what They don’t tell you is what to do if your babys tummy relaxes so much that he drops a brown barney on the towel

The best are the ones with the hard drive We looked into the ones with the mini DVD's but they told us they can only hold 30 minutes of recording each!
So we spent more and got the one with the hard drive it was about $700 on sale at Best Buy (Sony Handicam), I know this is more than your budget but wanted to tell you anyway.

my sister-in-law purchase one for my daughter and i played it once for her at 12 months old and she kept yawning and it was making me yawn because it was so boring to watch (of course i know its not made to entertain the parents). i didn't let my baby watch any tv until recently (she's 14 months old now) and i only let her watch limited video time and she seems to really like barney (which is annoying) and elmo. but to me the baby einstein were not so great but i know a lot of people who love them for their kids. some people say that babies that young shouldn't really need to be watching dvds and they actually will learn more through real interaction rather then what they see on tv. also parents will start using the tv as a babysitter and not realize how often they just pop in a dvd to distract their child while they do their things which is not good for the child. it may just start off as being little at a time but then it becomes more often. but to me its up to the parent and what you feel is best for your child. i don't mind popping in barney so i can use the bathroom…thats fine with me and she dances to his songs and she's happy.

The Baby Mozart DVD from the Baby Einstein series is the one you are talking about. It's wonderful! There are other tapes in the Baby Einstein series, but the rest of them aren't as good as this one.http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Einstein-Mozart-Music-Festival/dp/B00005YUPN/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1196504053&sr=8-2
You may also love the HBO Classical Baby series. They are on DVD, and consist of The Art Show, The Music SHow, and The Dance Show. My daughter loves all three, but she watches Classical baby: The Art Show every night before going to bed. In it, there are many classical pieces of music set to the images of many famous works of art. The best part is that they animate the works of art! For example, for Van Gogh's Starry Night, they close in on the mountain on the left, and you see many animals and other creatures tucking their babies into bed. It's really endearing, and now that my daughter is a little older, I've begun teaching her the names of the pieces of art and music. She knows who Mona Lisa is, and can name the Blue Danube, and Habanera pieces of music just by hearing them! http://www.amazon.com/Classical-Baby-Art-Show/dp/B0009WIE3O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1196504102&sr=1-1

Nope, but you can do the same thing at home with reading to your child, talking to your child, and pointing out items anywhere you are at any time and saying them to your child. Pretty soon your baby will be speaking and reading.
I think it's all a crock of bull. Why can't kids just be kids? Why don't 8 month old children have to read before they can even speak properly? It's silly. Obviously there is a time and place for learning. I could read at 4 and my parents didn't have "Your Baby Can Read" but they did the SAME EXACT THING as in the videos.
